During the construction of the Coburg office building, the cemetery of St. Moriz and the foundation walls of the former provost chapel of the Saalfeld Benedictines (13th century) were uncovered. Among other things, the foundations of the chapel of the medieval Coburg Benedictine Provostry, which was demolished in 1827, high medieval graves, parts of the medieval town fortifications as well as medieval and early modern ceramics, household items, jewellery, and coins are on display.
