Coburg Art Society: Tradition and artistic excellence since 1824

The Coburg Art Society is Germany’s fifth-oldest art association and one of the most prominent of its kind today. Its history dates back to the founding of the Kunst- und Gewerbeverein in 1824 and the Coburger Kunstverein in 1901. The two associations merged in 1981 to form the Coburg Art Society, aiming to organise events more effectively. Since the 1950s, the society has been located in the charming setting of the Little Rose Garden (Kleiner Rosengarten). Dedicated to supporting all facets of artistic creation, its scope includes graphic art, painting, enamel works, sculpture, and media installations. The focus lies on showcasing exhibitions and artist groups with both regional and international acclaim. Visit the Coburg Art Society to enjoy inspiring exhibitions in a beautiful environment steeped in tradition and creativity. For current opening hours and details, visit www.kunstverein-coburg.de.
